The Chronicles of Masscom solutions.

“Speaking this new language requires us to adopt a new way of thinking” (Berinato,
2016,p.8).

Berinato you’re definitely a smart man! I can relate to this sentence from our assignment. I’m currently developing the marketing department for my dad’s business. I know!On paper it sounds easy, but trust me it has been a great learning experience; a lot of ups and downs aka challenges. So, let me begin with the story behind Masscom solutions. Who are we? We are an online dealer for metal buildings such as garages, carports, sheds, barns and RV’s. We started our business two years ago. Yep! Covid made him do it! In moments of crisis, opportunities made arise if you view life in an optimistic way. “Visualization has emerged as our shared language” (Berinato, 2016,p.8).The company can relate to this note from the Good Chart-book. During these past few months, I have noticed how much a beautiful building can impact marketing through visual language. Before I started working with my father’s company, they didn’t have a variety of social media. I had to implement new apps like Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. I started adding better pictures and storytelling the product which created more awareness towards the product that the company provides. As a result of this, we started reaching more audiences. The target audience for Masscom solutions is an older crowd between 36 to 60 years old. And guess what? They only use Facebook, and some of them don’t even have an email address. So, for someone from my generation it is a challenge because how do you reach this target audience? In these past few months, I’ve been trying to generate traffic for the company. I tried using social media because nowadays everything is digital, not only due to the times we live in, but also the pandemic is pushing us to think outside of the box and get out of our comfort zone.
